iPhone 6s vs Android: Specs Benchmark Prove iPhone is Better

iPhone 6s vs Android: Specs Benchmark Prove iPhone is Better – Apple iPhone 6s continues to surprise us with new benchmarks which seem to point out that this device is more powerful than anything out there. A new report suggests that the Surface Pro 3 is the only gadget capable of passing the iPhone 6s in terms of raw performance power.

It’s been almost a month since Apple outed its latest device in the iPhone line and the company has reported more than 13 million sales which is pretty impressive. It’s no big surprise that the device excels in terms of performance because it features the Apple A9 chipset with a dual-core 1.8GHz central processing unit and this is a chip that is 50% quicker than the Apple A8.

That’s a very good score coming from a chipset made by Samsung in collaboration with TSMC and AnandTech seems to believe that this phone is better than pretty much anything else out there. This is quite a big statement which isn’t backed by actual data but it’s pretty believable given the fact that many people have been reporting a really smooth experience up until now, with the only complaint coming from the battery life department.

Apple iPhone 6s Tech Specs

So what else does the iPhone 6s have under that case that makes it so good? Well, it has an improved 2GB of RAM which is twice as much when compared to its predecessor, it also has Touch ID which is blazing fast, 3D Touch, and many other features to go with it. We’ll be watching closely to see any potential performance comparisons between the iPhone 6s and other devices, but for now we remain a bit skeptical given the fact that many users have reported quite a bit of problems with iOS 9 and the iPhone 6s.

Have you got the new iPhone 6S? Get the best video converter for iPhone 6S and batch convert almost any video (including MKV, AVI, VOB, MOV, MTS, Tivo, MP4 and H.265, etc) to iPhone 6S highly compatible file type for watching. Besides, with the built-in video editor, you can freely trim, crop, adjust effect, add (*.ass, *.ssa, *.srt) subtitles to your source video. Check the guide to learn how to.

You'll be able to watch Hulu in virtual reality by next month

Hulu intends to make its virtual reality app available next month. The plan is for the app's launch to coincide with the launch of Samsung's Gear VR headset, which will go on sale in November, Tim Connolly, the company's head of distribution, told CNET.

While we still don't know the exact launch date for the $99 Gear VR, Samsung previously said the device would be on shelves in North America "in time for Black Friday."

Like virtual reality apps from other video services such as YouTube and Netflix, Hulu's app will allow users to watch video in a more immersive 3D environment. The company is also working on original content that will give viewers a richer virtual experience that promises to "transport viewers into new worlds and change the way they experience and interact with Hulu," the company said in a statement earlier this year. The first of these efforts will be a short film called The Big One.

The company may also create more original content exclusively for virtual reality, Connolly said in an interview with CNET. "We think this is a smart bet that helps position us as an innovator and helps us learn earlier on what could be a substantive storytelling environment."

Wanna play downloaded Hulu videos directly on Gear VR with your phone? You just need a right program and convert hulu 3D videos to 3D MP4 for smoothly playing. Have something to add to this story? Share it in the comments.

VR Oculus Rift 3D Movies - The Complete List

Updated compilation of VR Oculus Rift movies. As Virtual Reality is getting bigger and bigger, it’s only a matter of time till we get regular movies or cartoons made specifically for VR devices. We do not know how long they will be but as far as we know, they work best if done in short bursts.

Upcoming VR/ Oculus Rift Movies (Movies That Are Made Specifically For VR/ Oculus Rift)

1. Name: MansLaughteroculus rift movies

Genre: Crime, Mystery, Thriller

Director: David Marlett

Made by: Cinemersia

Release Date: August 15, 2015

About: Five people in tangled relationships discover an extraordinary opportunity: one of them has won a $265 Million Lotto ticket and is cautiously waiting to turn it in. But delay is not his friend, nor are the other four, as it gives them time for deception, double-cross and murder in order to claim the ticket for themselves. But who will end up with the money? Pay attention all around you to find out.

In this revolutionary, original film, you’ll have a never-seen-before experience. After putting on virtual reality headgear (like an Oculus or GearVR), you’ll find yourself in a virtual world, amid a web of lies and murder. Here time is collapsed and four scenes (that would otherwise happen on different days in the real world) are happening simultaneously all around you.

2. Name: INNERDRONEoculus rift movies

Genre: Action

Director: David Marlett

Made by: Cinemersia

Release Date: Early 2017

About: Master Sgt. Marina Peters was just doing her job.  As a U.S. Army Special Forces Drone Ranger, she came to work each day in fatigues, ready to do battle, ready to assault an ISIS target, ready to save the day, ready to kill if necessary, whenever and wherever she was required to go…in Tampa, Florida.  Then she would drive home each night, half-baked, to her children and her crumbling marriage.  But when she was on base, in that contact room, Marina was a force to be reckoned with…thousands of miles away.  There, inside her assigned DX, her battle drone self, she was invincible. Or so she thought. So we all thought. Until that Tuesday at 1:16 in the morning…on that goddamned, windswept mountain in Syria.

In this gripping, first-in-the-world, hybrid framed/VR series, experience humanity and machine in a combination of traditional filmmaking and virtual reality cinema.

3. Name: ARAPAHOoculus rift movies

Genre: Unknown

Director: David Marlett

Made by: Cinemersia

Release Date: Early 2017

When finished, he pauses to lift prayers to the Spirits. It will be three days before he and the buffalo party return, hopefully with the success he now prays for. But all know his other prayer, what weights his heart and fills his thoughts. His wife, Sun Bird, was kidnapped by a Pawnee raiding party over two moons prior and remains lost. Every ride out, every hunt, is a chance for Black Eagle to search new ground, to seek any sign of her. Today he feels she is near.

In this first-of-its-kind, virtual reality feature film, you will be immersed there on the prairie, out with the tribe, and there you will hear Black Eagle’s prayer and you will get to make that pivotal decision early in the film.  That decision will decide the fates of Black Eagle, Sun Bird, and his Arapaho tribe. If he rescues his wife, they will miss the roaming herd and one among them will be killed. If he doesn’t find her beads that lead to her, they will have a successful hunt, the tribe will have buffalo for the coming winter, but his wife will be lost forever.

How Does it Feel And How to Setup

Trust me on this one, Oculus Rift gives you a much better 3D experience than theaters and cinemas do. Even home theaters do not live up to the level of 3D quality. Now you can argue about the resolution, but since VR head-mounted displays will get better and better each year, I don’t think it’s going to be a problem for the long-term.

What Oculus Rift really takes advantage of is scale. No other device can give you this kind of experience. It’s as if you are truly there, in full size. The feeling of elephant coming closer to you, huge skyscrapers towering over you, and all the other scaled objects can give you shivers, literally. And if to add the real 3D, no layer bull****, I start to believe that Oculus Rift movies, or soon-to-be-called VR movies will conquer the world of cinema. Why would you buy an expensive flat screen TV, why would you go to cinemas? Well, actually I would go just because it’s a bit louder there, and going to cinema with friends makes more sense. But other than that, I really don’t see any other advantages.

If you also want to experience at least the 3D movies mentioned above, first you need to do is download:
  • LiveViewRift (you can try other VR movie programs).
  • Have Rift in extended mode.
  • Start LiveViewRift.
  • Press “+” and type the name of the movie you are going to watch.
  • In the Layers section set Current Layer to layer 1 (Background). Set Type to Video. If there are any other Layers delete them.
  • Drag the video file to the Video-Path/Url window.
  • Press “test” in Cam-Setup to see if the video actually plays and it is in the format you think it is in.
  • In the Environment Section set Scene = Black and check the Scene Placement
  • Check Start in Full Screen, Pacific Full Screen, Show Hud on Start Up. Uncheck Show H&S Warning.
  • Click Start and put on HMD. You should see the HUD. Look straight ahead with the head level.

With the help of iFastime Video Converter Ultimate, you can transform protected and region-locked DVD/Blu-ray and other 4K/SD/HD video in any formats to VR headsets with excellent 3D effect. If its 2D to 3D conversion function doesn’t attract you. It also enables you to adjust 3D effect and reset the output video size to get better 3D movies for Gear VR, Oculus Rift DK2, VR One, Google Cardboard, etc.

How to live stream the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 event

The slate of fall tech announcements continues Tuesday with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Event.

You can live stream the event on Microsoft's website or on your Xbox. The event will take place Tuesday in New York City at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT).

Expect to see a range of Windows 10 products. The biggest device we can expect is the Surface Pro 4, which is presumed to be thinner and lighter. The company will also unveil its new wearable Microsoft Band. Leaked images and details recently revealed two Lumia phones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 X, and we'll probably see those or similar devices. The HoloLens, Microsoft's augmented reality headset, might also take part in the show with the announcement of its pricing and release date.

Other hardware surprises could make an appearance, too. Stay in the know as Mashable reports live from the event. Follow on our live blog, Snapchat and Twitter accounts, and you won't miss out.

Hands on with Microsoft Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 and Lumia 950

Tip: If you have a number of Blu-ray, DVD movies, TV series purchased or downloaded videos in MKV, FLV, M4V, WMV, MOV, AVI, Tivo, XAVC, M2TS, H.265 etc. and want to play themon the new Windows 10 Surface Pro 4 tablet, you can get iFastime Video Converter Ultimate to rip Blu-ray/DVD and transcode SD/HD/4K Video files to Surface Pro 4 friendly MP4 format with the fastest speed and best video/audio parameter settings.

GoPro Hero 5: Official Tech-Specs around the Corner

The world is currently awaiting the impending release of the GoPro Hero 5 ever since the makers hinted at ground-breaking technologies being used in the device. The Hero 5 is one of the most advanced portable sports cameras that we have at the moment while GoPro claim that the pricing will be in line with that of the current-generation Hero 4.

Even though we do not have the entire spec sheet yet, GoPro is rumored to release the list later this week. GoPro was originally expected to release the record-shattering Hero 5 in October this year, but the device was delayed due to technical glitches. Experts however believe that GoPro is delaying the release in order to market the Hero 4 and the Hero+ LCD.

What’s certain at the moment is that the Hero 5 launches next year and is in line to becoming THE High-Definition extreme adventure sports camera of the year. As per current reports, the GoPro Hero 5 is capable of filming videos at 8K resolution, capture motion and 3D images. The video resolution is twice that of the Hero 4, which also requires better processing speeds.

To cope up with the requirements, GoPro has used the A10 processor on the device, which is also capable of filming videos at 4K resolution and 60fps. GoPro claims that the Hero 5 features a dual lens setup for better 3D image and video recording while major improvements have been made to the battery life of the device too, which now sports a 2,800 mAh unit.

Apart from the tech-specs, reports further claim that the Hero 5 is nearly 40% lighter and 50% smaller than its predecessor, making it the most portable GoPro so far. It can be easily fitted on helmet mounts or on any other part of the body as you like. GoPro further claim that the waterproofing capability of the device has been enhanced.

The GoPro Hero 5 is capable of performing effortlessly till 60 meters underwater. There has been an improvement of 20 meters, which is phenomenal by the present standards. GoPro has introduced the dive housing, which can now be used in place of the standard housing for easier portability.

However, GoPro is expected to suffer in terms of sales figures since most of their cameras are sole during the Public Holidays. However, since the Hero 5 won’t be here by then, it is expected to suffer high demand. However, theoretically, the amount of hype generated around the device, should be enough to get it through to the customers irrespective of the Holiday Season.

The icing on the cake is the comparatively low price of the device. However, we are no market analysts. Hence, we cannot confirm any of these reports.

GoPro Hero 5

However, this reasoning seems valid, considering the lack of renowned competition in the segment. If the GoPro Hero 5 is what the company says it is, the camera will be the undisputed ruler of a market segment, with zero competition.

However, numerous small-time manufacturers such as VTech and some renowned camera makers have started taking interest in the portable sports action camera segment and manufactures such as Sony are considering a foray into the market segment. However, it is too early to comment on that either.

GoPro is known for never compromising on quality. Hence, when the company states that they are improving the quality of the parts further, we can be sure that the device will be top notch. GoPro needed a redesign and the change of materials and weight and size are a part of the process.

GoPro came under serious heat when renowned F1 driver Michael Schumacher had a ski accident and the doctors revealed that his camera mount had a major hand in the damage caused. Even though there were no legal proceedings involved, it got GoPro thinking and the Hero 5 is the result of that endeavor.

The company needs to be praised for making the effort and if the upcoming camera is all that the company wants us to believe, it will be a one-of-a-kind device in its own rights. If you’re looking for a reliable sports action camera, it would be wise to wait for the GoPro Hero 5, since it is worth the wait.

However, if you’re the impatient kind, feel free to opt for the present offerings from the company since they are top notch products too! The GoPro Hero 4 is priced at $499 and we will get back to you with the final pricing on the Hero 5 as soon as GoPro makes it official.

It is unlikely for the company to unveil pricing this week, even if they decide to reveal the official specifications of the camera. We will get back to you with the details from the event, if and when it occurs. Hence, please be patient and keep watching this space for more.

Review: OS X El Capitan is a modest Mac upgrade

NEW YORK — Apple's choice of "El Capitan" as the name of the successor to Mac OS X Yosemite bears a subtle underlying message: As operating system upgrades go, El Capitan is rather modest, certainly compared to last year's migration from OS X Mavericks to Yosemite, or Microsoft's more recent leap from Windows 8 to Windows 10.
After all, the natural resource that is El Capitan is a California rock formation inside Yosemite National Park. And El Capitan the free-to-download operating system update that will be made available Wednesday is about building on Yosemite inside your Mac.

Of course now that Apple refreshes OS X every year or so, there's less of a need to scale your Mac to new heights each time around.

That said, by all means go grab El Capitan from the Mac App Store. It may not bring a ton of new features and certainly none of the major variety. Much of what's included is aimed at developers, such as Apple Metal, which arrives on the Mac after debuting last year on iOS. Developers can use it to produce more realistic graphics-rich games on the Mac.

But you'll appreciate the fine-tuning that has been applied to your Mac and the new ways you can organize your work.

Some of you will notice a bump up in speed, as I did after installing El Capitan on my two-year old MacBook Air. OK, my now tired 5-year old iMac still was pokey even after the upgrade. In general, Apple claims apps launch up to 40% faster in El Capitan.

The new operating system is compatible on iMacs and MacBook Pro models dating as far back as mid-2007 and other Macs from a more recent time.

Much of what Apple did with El Capitan is refine the way you can manage windows. You can drag two windows side by side with each window claiming half the full screen, unless you manually readjust their width. If this split-view feature sounds like something you've already seen on Windows, you'd be right. Microsoft introduced a similar "snap" feature with the debut of Windows 7 in 2009. Still, for the Mac crowd it's better late than never: It's convenient, for example, to consult the calendar app in one window while you're in the Mail app trying to coordinate a meeting with a client.

Apple has cleaned up its birds-eye Mission Control feature, offering a single-layer view that makes finding what you're looking for easier. You can also drag windows up to the top of the screen to create new desktop spaces for freeing up room.

A small feature might prove more useful: If you can't find your cursor because it is buried on the desktop, you can rapidly shake your finger along the trackpad to make the wayward cursor momentarily grow larger and easier to spot.

The Spotlight feature that lets you search the contents of your Mac has generally gotten more useful, though I found inconsistencies. The Spotlight window itself is resizable and can be dragged around the screen.

You can get the weather forecast for a given city inside Spotlight, as well as sports scores and stock quotes by entering team names and ticker symbols, respectively. You can also search for web videos from YouTube, Vimeo and Vevo.

But Spotlight search wasn't always spot on. Not all the stock ticker symbols I entered were recognized. When I entered "Boston Red Sox" as a search term, Spotlight indeed gave me the score of that night's Bosox-New York Yankees game. But this did not work in reverse. Entering "NY Yankees" as the search term for some reason did not surface the score.

Moreover, at one point the very Spotlight window froze so that I could not enter a new search term until I rebooted the Air.

One thing I like in Spotlight is that you can search with a more natural query, along the lines of, "find the documents I worked on in April" or "show me the unread emails from Janie in August."

Several other built-in apps have been improved. Maps adds public transit directions for Baltimore, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington D.C., as well as several foreign cities, more than 300 in China. If you specify when you want to leave, the app will suggest the fastest route for your departure. At certain subway stations you can get detailed instructions on which exits to use. You can send directions from your Mac to your Apple Watch or iPhone.

The Notes app now lets you add photos, PDFs, videos, audio, map locations, spreadsheets and more. And its much easier to share content from other apps into Notes.

The improved Mail app behaves a lot like its iOS counterpart.

Con. No Siri. Though Spotlight search was improved I found inconsistencies.
